With school officially out for winter break, the search is on for things to do with kids in Okmulgee.
Luckily, you don’t have to travel far to find holiday magic. From interactive crafting sessions to a visit with Santa on the farm, here are the top Okmulgee holiday events for families happening between now and Christmas Eve.
Get Creative at "A Very Crafty Christmas"
If you’re looking for a way to keep the little ones busy while you finish your holiday prep, head over to Prairie Witch Coffee and Wine. They are hosting their popular "A Very Crafty Christmas" event on Monday, Dec 22, and Tuesday, Dec 23, starting at 10:00 AM.
For just $5 per craft, kids can enjoy holiday storytelling and create their own festive masterpieces to take home. It’s a wonderful way to build memories (and custom ornaments!) right here in downtown Okmulgee.
Santa on the Farm: A Rural Holiday Experience
One of the most anticipated family events near Okmulgee takes place this Saturday, Dec 20, in Henryetta. Santa on the Farm offers a classic Oklahoma Christmas experience that kids will remember for years.

Free Holiday Trivia Night
Looking for something the teenagers or the whole family can enjoy? Join the free holiday trivia night on Friday, Dec 19, at 6:30 PM at Prairie Witch.
It’s a fast-paced, festive competition where you can test your knowledge of Christmas movies, music, and traditions. With prizes on the line, it’s a great way to kick off the weekend!
Don’t Forget the Lights!
Of course, no Okmulgee Christmas is complete without a slow drive or walk through our historic square. The millions of lights from our annual Festival of Lights are still glowing nightly. It’s the perfect, free way to end an evening of family fun before heading home for cocoa. |
