If you've never been to a livestock auction, you're missing out on one of the most genuinely Oklahoman things you can do on a Tuesday night.
The Okmulgee Livestock Auction runs twice a month and it's exactly what it sounds like. Cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and a room full of people who know their stuff.
It's one of those Okmulgee community events that's been part of the fabric of this area for a long time.

Whether you're there to buy, sell, or just watch the action unfold, you're welcome.
🐄 What's Up for Sale?
Every auction features a mix of:
The mix varies sale to sale depending on what gets checked in, so no two nights are exactly alike.
📦 Bringing Livestock to Sell?
Check-in is flexible and runs across three days before each sale:
A yardman is always on-site to help you load and unload. No need to figure it out on your own.
Hay and clean water are provided at no extra charge for your animals while they're on the property. That's a nice touch.
👀 Just Want to Watch?
That's completely fine too. Walk in, find a seat, and watch the auctioneer work. It's fast, it's loud, and it's genuinely entertaining even if you have zero intention of buying a goat.
(Although, fair warning. You might leave wanting a goat.)
