Joke Of The Day

Why was the computer cold?

It left its Windows open in Okmulgee!

After being laid off from Cancer Treatment Center in 2021, Laci turned a setback into an opportunity by taking over The Nutrition Shoppe, a business that will celebrate 35 years of serving Okmulgee this July. Now, nearly five years into ownership, her passion for helping the community invest in their health has led to an exciting expansion.

On March 9, 2026, LACI's NUTRITION SHOPPE opened at its new location at 112 S. Morton in downtown Okmulgee. The larger space has allowed Laci to expand far beyond traditional vitamins and supplements.

The new shop now features locally raised beef from Oklahoma ranchers, a cozy Literature Corner for wellness education, grab-and-go meals from Prairie Witch Coffee and Wine, and products from local vendors like Crazy Heifer Tallow Co. and Bald Hill Botanicals & Apothecary.

Customers praise Laci's knowledge and personalized service: "They have the best products, are very knowledgeable, & the best customer service! We won't shop anywhere else."

Visit the new location at 112 S. Morton. Call (918) 756-3433 or find them on Facebook.

Hey Okmulgee and Henryetta friends!

I've got someone I really want you to meet this week. Her name is Reese's, and she's a beautiful brindle boxer mix puppy who's been waiting her whole life for someone to choose her forever.

Here's what breaks my heart: Reese's has only gotten one adoption application, and it fell through when life threw that family a curveball. But this sweet girl? She's stayed brave and loving through it all.

Reese's is the total package β€” she loves car rides, exploring new places, playtime, and most of all, those quiet cuddle moments with her people. She's great with kids, dogs, and cats, and she's got one of those big personalities you'll fall in love with instantly.

She's one of seven puppies rescued from the Okmulgee Shelter and is currently in foster care through the Okmulgee Humane Society. She's been vetted, has her boosters, and is ready to find her forever home right here in our community.

If you've been thinking about adopting, maybe this is your sign.
